Representative Quang Nguyen Sponsors Legislation to Combat Fentanyl Epidemic
“We are in a war to save lives”
STATE CAPITOL, PHOENIX – State Representative Quang Nguyen, Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, has sponsored legislation that aims to combat the fentanyl epidemic and skyrocketing rate of fentanyl-related deaths in Arizona.
“The safety of the people in our state is my top priority,” said Representative Nguyen. “Fentanyl is killing tens of thousands of Americans each year and destroying families. It’s a public crisis that should unite political parties to act urgently. We are in a war to save lives.”
HB 2167 significantly strengthen penalties for individuals who knowingly traffic or sell fentanyl-tainted drugs that contribute to a person’s death, giving prosecutors stronger tools in the fight against the deadly illegal narcotic that is killing people at alarming rates. Under the bill, drug trafficking homicide would be a Class 1 felony.
Nguyen’s bill was inspired by the family of Ashley Dunn, a young woman in Yavapai County who tragically lost her life when she consumed fentanyl-tainted narcotics.
Fentanyl is a highly addictive synthetic opioid 50 times more powerful than heroin. Just two milligrams (an amount so small that it would fit on the tip of a pencil) can kill a person.
According to the DEA, fentanyl is mass-produced in Mexico using Chinese-sourced chemicals and trafficked by the Sinaloa and Jalisco crime cartels. The agency has reported a sharp nationwide increase in the lethality of fentanyl-laced pills, which may look identical to real prescription medications.

Our own LD 1, Quang Nguyen is spearheading a bill that will hold fentanyl peddlers accountable as the murderers they are. The bill amends sections 13-705 and 13-706, Arizona revised statutes by adding section 13-1106; relating to drug offenses adding a Drug Trafficking Homicide; classification as follows (*DRAFT LANGUAGE*):
A. A person commits drug trafficking homicide if both of the following apply:
1. the person transfers a dangerous drug in violation of section
13-3407 or a narcotic drug in violation of section 13-3408 and injecting, inhaling, absorbing or ingesting the dangerous drug or narcotic drug causes another person's death.
2. transferring the dangerous or narcotic drug to the other person was a contributing cause of the other person's death and the death did not result from a cause that is not connected to the defendant. For the purposes of this paragraph, the state is not required to prove that the transfer of the dangerous drug or narcotic drug was the sole and immediate cause of the other person's death.
B. For the purposes of this section, it is a rebuttable presumption that the dangerous drug or narcotic drug that the person transferred to the victim was the same dangerous drug or narcotic drug that caused the victim's death if the state proves both of the following beyond a reasonable doubt:
1. the person transferred a dangerous drug or narcotic drug to thvictim within twenty-four hours before the victim injected, inhaled, absorbed or ingested the dangerous drug or narcotic drug.
2. the victim's death was caused by the same type of dangerous drug or narcotic drug that the person transferred as prescribed in paragraph 1.

Thanks to 19 GOP traitors joining with Democrats in August to pave a path to American serfdom, on Friday, November 19, (just one week before Thanksgiving) the house voted 220-213 to shove through rest of the $3.67 BILLIONS+++ Bolshevik Biden spending bill.
No Republican voted for the bill on November 19, after Rep. Kevin McCarthy’s record breaking 8 hour speech, which was a gallant but pretty much ex post facto effort to defeat this fait accompli thanks to the 19 capitulating Republicans. This success has come to fruition despite the Senate Republicans who initially, successfully blocked the efforts of Sen. Schumer and his comrades in “Stolengrad” (D.C.) to extinguish any remaining vestiges of liberty and free enterprise with the Biden “Infrastructure” plan earlier this year. It was reported as a massive setback for the Biden Administration's efforts to forge a bill expected to cost roughly $3.5 trillion ($4.1 trillion with a $600 billion bipartisan plan) to fund their “Build Back Better”(Democrat name for “tax and spend”) agenda. Senate Republicans successfully held off this disaster with a vote of 49-51 in July, with Schumer changing his vote to "no" for reportedly procedural reasons that enabled him to later resurrect the bill and it worked. The GOP buckled, and in a stunning and repulsive turn around, 19 pandering parasitic so-called Republicans were bamboozled into joining Senate Democrats under the classic Democrat fake, bait and switch cloak of “bipartisanship”. If the bill passes, Americans will pay the highest rate of personal income tax in the world, and a 37% capital gains tax, while wealthy trial lawyers and rich coastal elites receive a windfall of extraordinary tax breaks and there is a massive amnesty and billions in payoffs to illegal migrants woven into the bill.

Democrats Extend Their Overreaching Tentacles Through HR4 Which Will Abrogate Voter Integrity Reforms And Eclipse State Election Laws
And, in effect, facilitate perpetual Democrat rigging of elections
H.R. 4 is a regurgitated, more toxic version of H.R.1
H.R. 4 is a Leftist scheme to give President Biden’s bureaucrats in the federal government VETO power over state election integrity laws. Biden’s politicized lawyers in the Justice Department would use this veto power to overturn state voting laws they politically disagree with, such as extremely popular voter ID laws.
This scheme effectively enables the Left to perpetuate practices such as ballot harvesting and arbitrary mass-mailing of absentee ballots, even if not requested. Voter ID would be eliminated and replaced with same-day voter registration.
During the Obama administration, Eric Holder abused the voting rights act (VRA) to enable him to veto State voting reforms the left disagreed with. The Supreme Court invalidated Holder’s abuses as unconstitutional in Shelby County v. Holder in 2013. HR4 will reinstate this abuse by circumventing the Supreme Court’s decision by redefining “discrimination” similar to the way CRT defines discrimination: based on equality of results (disparate impact) as opposed to equal treatment. Democrats’ modus operandi is to justify their desired result in utter disregard for the process— “the ends justify the means”. School boards are making vital decisions on how our children are educated, such as teaching CRITICAL RACE THEORY and “gender choice”. Local government actions can have a more direct and immediate effect on GMRW members, such as in the compulsory vaccination, mask and meeting policies imposed, many of which shut down businesses and schools. Land use, zoning and appropriation of funds on community projects are decisions the GMRW members should be monitoring. GMRW members ARE encouraged to attend meetings and review the agenda for these local meetings.

For example, Pending in Prescott are local land use decisions which portend the building of nearly One Thousand (1,000) Apartments in Prescott Lakes. School boards are making vital decisions on how our children are educated, such as teaching CRITICAL RACE THEORY and “gender choice”. Local government actions can have a more direct and immediate effect on GMRW members, such as in the mask and meeting policies imposed, many of which shut down businesses and schools. Land use, zoning and appropriation of funds on community projects are decisions the GMRW members should be monitoring. GMRW members ARE encouraged to attend meetings and review the agenda for these local meetings.

Election Integrity:
The audit of the Maricopa County election is winding down, however obstruction and lack of cooperation by the Maricopa County BOS and SOS Hobbs continue with unconstitutional threats from the Biden Department of “Justice” to interfere and the Senate is expected to pursue enforcement of the audit subpoenas for access to the routers and other withheld materials for a complete audit. Results and reports are not expected until August, at the earliest, according to Senator Fann, who has courageously led the USA’s most tenacious state Senate in these vital efforts.
